Workshop facilitator and speaker
Nina is an experienced speaker and workshop facilitator who works with community organisations to share the joy of preserving your family's oral history.
In a short presentation or workshop she takes you through:
Why your life story and family history matters
The legacy of recording your story, in your voice, for the people who love you
How to create intergenerational interviews or interviews with loved ones
The set up of technology for an audio recording project
How to write great questions (to get a great answer)
As an audience member or a participant, you will have a delightful time exploring the ideas and inspiration for your own family history audio project. In the workshop, you will experience for yourself how easy it is to become a great storyteller, when you are asked a great question. Every participant comes away with enough information to get started on a do-it-yourself family recording project.
Nina runs workshops for private or public groups. To book a workshop contact Nina today on 03 9112 5772.

Workshop NEWS
Recently at the Victorian Pride Centre in St Kilda, I ran a workshop on creating life story audio recordings as part of a whole day Seniors Festival event called An Afternoon with Friends of Dorothy. A wonderful group of older people joined in the workshop to explore their personal histories. We talked about why our family stories matter and the importance of recording them, so they are preserved exactly as they are told.
This was a terrific afternoon and such a beautiful space to host a workshop and connect with community.
Recently at Renaissance Living retirement village in Surrey Hills I ran a workshop with some residents to share our personal histories. We talked about how our personal and family stories help to build understanding between the generations and how we can keep our stories alive by making recordings.
It was a lovely afternoon meeting some residents at Renaissance Living, seeing the beautiful facilities and sharing some lively family stories. Everyone was friendly, I was even invited to join the afternoon wine and nibbles gathering, so we could keep talking more. A wonderful afternoon was shared.
